In response to the high demand for trail stewardship work across Montana, we’ve expanded our trails program.

When Brian first arrived at MWA in 2010, the organization had 12 employees working in five offices around the state. Six years later, MWA has grown to 25 staff members in eight field offices.

At the beginning of this year, we welcomed a new president and president-elect on our State Council, the governing body of our organization that’s composed of volunteers from around the state and represenatives of local chapters.

Speaking at a gathering of about 200 in Seeley Lake, Sen. Tester applauded the trend-setting, collaborative work that made this legislation possible.

We received almost 1,000 photos, capturing the wide diversity of Montana’s natural beauity.

At MWA, we like to get outside. This year, we crossed the Crazy Mountains together on a three-day trek that forged stronger bonds (and bigger blisters) than any icebreaker could ever offer.
