Saturday, June 6th (Early Season)

Falls Creek Family Hike

Location: Augusta
Miles/Difficulty: 3 miles/Moderate
Leader: Zach and McCall Angstead

This short all-ages hikes to the newly acquired Falls Creek access point begins with a short uphill and before levelling off for a pleasant hike to Falls Creek Falls. We'll enjoy the beauty of the Rocky Mountain Front and views into the Scapegoat Wilderness.

Saturday, June 13th (Early Season)

Casey Meadows

Location: Montana City
Miles/Difficulty: 8 miles/Moderately-Strenuous
Leader: Rick Halverson and Sarah Deveraux

The Casey Meadows Trail provides an easy hike into the Elkhorn Mountains, following a creek and passing through forests and open meadows along the way.

Monday, June 15th (Early Season)

Fairview Mountain Off-Trail Climb

Location: Augusta
Miles/Difficulty: 10 miles/Extremely Strenuous
Leader: Katie and Tom Kotynski

This hike has it all: wildflowers, waterfalls, and views. We'll follow the Willow Creek Falls trail for a few miles before venturing off trail and climbing to the top of Fairview Mountain.

Wednesday, June 17th (Early Season)

Sleeping Giant

Location: Augusta
Miles/Difficulty: 8 miles/Extremely Strenuous
Leader: Mike Rooney and Wayne Chamberlain

This popular trek will take us through open grassland, dry forest, and scree slopes to the Giant’s nose, where we'll be rewarded with superlative views of the Missouri River, the Gates of the Mountains, and other west-central Montana mountain ranges.

Sunday, June 21st (Early Season)

Lewis & Clark Pass

Location: Lincoln
Miles/Difficulty: 4 miles/Moderately Strenuous
Leader: Wilbur Rehmann and Larry Epstein

From Alice Creek trailhead, we'll pass through wildflower meadows and walk up a gently curving trail to Lewis & Clark Pass. The hike will retrace the steps Meriwether Lewis took on his return from the Pacific Ocean in July 1804.

Sunday, June 21st (Early Season)

Rogers Pass

Location: Lincoln
Miles/Difficulty: 6 miles/Moderately Strenuous
Leader: Helen Fee and Art Butler

On Father's Day, hike from Rogers Pass to a point overlooking Cadotte Pass on the Continental Divide Trail. From the pass, we'll be able to enjoy spectacular views of the Scapegoat Wilderness and Silver King Mountain.

Nevada Mountain

Miles/Difficulty: 8 miles/Moderately Strenuous

Join us on a thrilling ridge-top hike from Marsh Creek Road, along the Continental Divide, and into the heart of the gorgeous Nevada Mountain Proposed Wilderness Area.

Montgomery Park

Location: Montana City
Miles/Difficulty: 6 miles/Moderately Strenuous

This switchbacking trail will bring us a ridgetop, where we can relax and enjoy views of Canyon Ferry.

Sleeping Giant
