About the Training

MWA staff are providing a crosscut saw training ahead of the upcoming field season. Through a classroom presentation (Friday evening) and hands-on practice during a field day (Saturday), students will learn how to safely and efficiently buck down trees using crosscut saws and handsaws. We will not be covering chainsaw use or felling in this class. If you successfully complete the course, you will recieve a USFS Crosscut Bucking Certification.
