Join us for Badger-Two Medicine Day

Celebrate this sacred area with us on June 27
Category: Announcements | | 2 min read

The Blackfeet people’s connection to the Badger-Two Medicine goes back thousands of years. Located between the Bob Marshall Wilderness and Glacier National Park, the Badger-Two Medicine is the home of the Blackfeet origin story and the site of many cultural practices. Under threat from potential oil and gas development for the last 30 years, the Blackfeet have united with neighboring tribes and with the conservation and sportsmen communities to defend this sacred landscape.

In order to protect the Badger-Two Medicine, people on the Blackfeet Reservation and across Montana are raising their voices. Decision-makers in Washington, D.C. must hear the message: there will never be drilling in the Badger-Two Medicine.

To help get this message out, the Blackfeet Nation invites all who care about the past, present, and future of the culturally and ecologically irreplaceable Badger-Two Medicine area to join in a daylong, interactive celebration.

All activities are free and open to the public (except where noted).
