SEASON COMPLETE: 2013 Project Season A Great Success
The 2013 field season is complete! Right now we're putting away our tools, cleaning out our backpacks and planning new trips for next summer. This is also the time we dust off the spreadsheets and see what we can achieve next year. With your financial support during the "off season" we can plan to accomlish more. Please donate generously to support our work. Click here for a secure donation link to support CDT Montana efforts.
VOLUNTEER IN 2014: New Projects to be Posted in the Spring
New 2014 trail projects will be posted in March or April of 2014. There is no charge for projects. We feed you, provide leadership, supply all group gear and tools. You just bring personal camping gear (sleeping bag, sleeping pad and tent) and willingness to help out.
CUSTOMIZE YOUR TRIP: We'll make a project just for you
If you are a group of 6-8 people and want us to plan your very own CDT Montana adventure - let's talk! We'll pick custom dates, select a location that suits both our needs and create your very own project. Gather up your friends, a summer school group, old hiking buddies, distant family, co-workers or any gaggle of willing workers. Custom projects should be firmed up no later than February 2014, but the sooner you contact us the more options we have. For custom planning contact Shannon Freix at 406.499.2309 or email@example.com.
COLLABORATION: The Trail Unites Us
Since 1978, the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail was designated to provide for high quality, scenic, primitive hiking, horseback riding, and non-motorized recreational experiences, and to conserve natural, historical and cultural resources along the divide.
With 3100 miles snaking from Canada to Mexico, the CDNST is only 78% complete. And did you know that the largest unfinished section is the Montana/Idaho section at only 58% complete.
With dedicated volunteers and agency partners, the Montana Wilderness Association is working to complete the CDNST and we need YOUR help to get the job done. Please check out the volunteer opportunities we have each summer or make a contribution to support our volunteers in the field. Together we can complete the CDT!
