COLLABORATION: The Trail Unites Us

Since 1978, the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail was designated to provide for high quality, scenic, primitive hiking, horseback riding, and non-motorized recreational experiences, and to conserve natural, historical and cultural resources along the divide.

With 3100 miles snaking from Canada to Mexico, the CDNST is only 78% complete. And did you know that the largest unfinished section is the Montana/Idaho section at only 58% complete.

With dedicated volunteers and agency partners, the Montana Wilderness Association is working to complete the CDNST and we need YOUR help to get the job done. Please check out the volunteer opportunities we have each summer or make a contribution to support our volunteers in the field. Together we can complete the CDT!

GET INVOLVED:  2014 Projects Are Underway!

We have more projects than ever before planned for this summer.  Bust out your calendar and see what trip(s) you can do this summer. We have a great selection from Glacier to Yellowstone and everywhere in between. CLICK HERE TO SEE 2014 VOLUNTEER SCHEDULE ON THE CDT

AND...it's the 50th Anniversary of Wilderness so we have some special projects featured for the big celebration including a few projects in the Bob Marshall and Ananconda-Pinlter Wilderness areas.
