COLLABORATION: The Trail Unites Us
Since 1978, the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail was designated to provide for high quality, scenic, primitive hiking, horseback riding, and non-motorized recreational experiences, and to conserve natural, historical and cultural resources along the divide. With 3100 miles snaking from Canada to Mexico, the CDNST is only 78% complete. And did you know that the largest unfinished section is the Montana/Idaho section at only 58% complete.
With dedicated volunteers and agency partners, the Montana Wilderness Association is working to complete the CDNST and we need YOUR help to get the job done. Please check out the volunteer opportunities we have each summer or make a contribution to support our volunteers in the field. Together we can complete the CDT!
THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT: The 2015 Field Season is a wrap!
What a fantastic year for CDT Montana! We've just capped another great field season with 17 projects in the books. Thanks so much to all of our volunteers who sacraficed their own time to put some sweat equity back into our great trail! All of our trail crew volunteers, packers, camp cooks, Artists in Residence and sesonal workers- you are the coolest of the cool. Looking forward to another great season in 2016!
Check back in March to join the party and register for one of 2016's exciting trail projects.
