Third-Annual Kootenai Harvest Festival

Saturday, September 16, 2017
2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Riverfront Park
Libby, MT

Free admission | Locally-grown dinner,  $10 per plate

Enjoy locally produced food and homegrown live music as the community gathers to celebrate the autumn season by the Kootenai River. Bring the whole family for fun kids’ activities, locally harvested and prepared food, live demonstrations and shopping with a variety of food and craft vendors. The Dodgy Mountain Men will make you want to grab your partner and swing ‘er round with their straight-out-of-the-Yaak bootstompin’ tunes. This is an outdoor event, so bring a camp chair and be prepared for the weather.

The Kootenai Harvest Festival is planned by a dedicated group of volunteers. The Harvest Festival celebrates locally grown food, healthy lifestyles and local land conservation in our own backyard. Montana Wilderness Association partners with the Libby Community Garden to produce all of the vegetables to make the dinner at the Harvest Festival!

Schedule of Events

September 16, 2017

2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Horsepacking in Mongolia Presentation, Cabinet Mountain Brewing Co.

In 2016, local horse-packers, Greg and Deborah Schatz, traveled to Mongolia to share Leave-No-Trace and western horsemanship techniques with the native, nomadic tribes of Mongolia. Through their pictures and storytelling, Mr. and Mrs. Schatz will share their experiences, their lessons learned, and lead the audience to question the differences between western life and this ancient culture that still thrives in the modern day.

Celebrate fall with homegrown food and handmade crafts at the Harvest Festival! Peruse a variety of hometown vendors, sink your teeth into our locally harvested dinner plate, and dance to the Dodgy Mountain Men.
