This Labor Day weekend, Montana High Divide Trail's efforts to connect the Little Blackfoot to the Cliff Mountain Crest will commence. We need to clear a corridor for the new trail, which means sawing lots of downed trees! Team up with this collaborative of local mountain bikers, stock users, and wilderness lovers as we embark on Phase One of our multi-year project.
Once completed, the Cliff Mountain Crest Trail will offer stunning views of the Flint Creek Range, Pintlers, Continental Divide and Electric Peak Wilderness. It will also connect to forest trails in Baggs Creek and Cottonwood Creek, and to the Continental Divide Scenic Trail, offering single track trail options. Here's your chance to join a team of hard-working visionaries who know how to have a good time while out working on the trail!
About High Divide Trails
Montana High Divide Trails is the vision of hikers, mountain bikers, horseback riders, and conservationists working together to build and protect a wide-ranging trail system along the Continental Divide between the Pintler and Scapegoat wilderness areas. Nine organizations are collaborating to focus on conserving wildlands and fostering an outstanding network of quiet trails for hikers, mountain bikers, runners, and horseback riders to enjoy. The Montana High Divide Trails partnership includes: Great Divide Cycling Team, Helena Bicycle Club - Wild Divide Chapter, Helena Outdoor Club, Helena Trail Riders, Highlands Cycling Club, Last Chance Back Country Horsemen, Mile-High Back Country Horsemen, Montana Wilderness Association, and the Prickly Pear Land Trust.
